Cardiology Workshop at Flinders well attended

On  Tuesday 10th November SA Heart hosted a GP cardiology workshop at our Flinders clinic. GPs took part in three small group sessions. 

Following a formal welcome from Dr William Heddle the 21 attendees were invited to divide into groups and rotate through three individual workshop stations. Dr Justin Ardill provided a management update for Ischaemic Heart Disease, Dr Richard Hillock spoke on rhythm management along with devices and ablation and the newest member of the SA Heart team, Dr Derek Yiu, discussed cardiology testing options – what test and when.

GPs were given information on how to ‘self record’ QA&CPD points online through the RACGP and general feedback from all was very positive.

More workshops are planned for 2010.
